VET TIX ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH SERVICE WOMEN’S ACTION NETWORK

Press Releases

January 26, 2017, PHOENIX – National non-profit organizations Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix) and the Service Women’s Action Network (SWAN) today announced a partnership to support the integration of service women and women veterans in their communities.

Vet Tix and SWAN will work together to ensure that nearly 2.5 million service women and women veterans in the U.S. can take advantage of both organizations’ resources and services. SWAN provides its members with the information, tools, and support they need to reach their personal and professional goals during and following their years of service. Vet Tix provides free event tickets to professional sporting events, entertainment and events in the arts to all currently serving military, veterans and Gold Star families.

“Ensuring that female service members are receiving the resources they deserve is critical to our mission. As an organization, we care about the well-being and transition from service to civilian life for women in the military,” said Judy Patterson, CEO of the Service Women’s Action Network. “This partnership with Vet Tix will expose our members to a unique, national opportunity to boost morale and strengthen bonds with both their families and with fellow military women.”

“Vet Tix is dedicated to giving back to those who gave so much,” said Mike Focareto, CEO of Vet Tix. “We work to provide opportunities where veterans can create lasting memories and engage with their fellow peers through a community-based event. Whether someone is in between deployments, in the transition process, or has been honorably discharged, Vet Tix is here to support the military community for years to come. We are excited for the opportunity to collaborate with SWAN to increase the number of service women and women veterans who we can help get out in their local communities.”

Since 2008, Vet Tix has distributed over 2.6 million free tickets to service members, veterans and their families for a small delivery fee. There are over 500,000 verified Vet Tixers across the United States.

ABOUT THE SERVICE WOMEN’S ACTION NETWORK
The Service Women’s Action Network (SWAN) is the voice of women in the military. We are a member-driven community network advocating for the individual and collective needs of service women past, present and future. To date, we have played a major role in opening jobs to service women, holding sex offenders accountable in the military justice system, eliminating barriers to disability claims for those who have experienced military sexual trauma and expanding access to services for a broad range of reproductive health care services. We are dedicated to ensuring that all service women receive the opportunities, protections, benefits and respect they deserve and have access to the information, tools, and support they need to achieve their personal and professional goals during and following their years of service.
