wishU Partners with Veteran Tickets Foundation To Give Back to Nation’s Veterans

Press Releases

Phoenix, AZ (April 18, 2017) – wishU™, a social giving lifestyle service that allows ordinary people to donate money to their favorite causes, has partnered with the nonprofit Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix) to give away two tickets for the 2017 NBA Finals.

Until May 18, VetTixers can visit the following link to register for wishU’s CrowdRise campaign: https://www.crowdrise.com/the-wishu-challenge?utm_souce=vettix, which is raising funds to support the ALS Therapy Development Foundation.  To be eligible in the competition for the tickets, VetTixers can either donate to the fundraising campaign, in $5 increments or can go to this alternative site to enter their name for the tickets for free: https://www.crowdrise.com/FreeAlternateMethodofEntry.

“Giving a veteran a chance to attend an event of this magnitude is what we strive for,” said Mike Focareto, Vet Tix CEO. “A trip to the NBA Finals game could be a once-in-a-lifetime experience our VetTixers will remember forever. We are grateful to wishU for understanding and supporting our purpose, and hope this inspires others in the community to event tickets as small tokens of gratitude for those who have served.”

Vet Tix works with teams, businesses and organizations, venues, and season ticket holders to collect and distribute tickets that enable veterans, service members and family of those killed in action to attend major sports games, concerts, and a diverse mix of other ticketed events, supporting community reintegration and personal health and happiness. Vet Tix is open to veterans, service members, caregivers and family of those killed in action, and to all branches and eras of service.

“We are proud to partner with an organization that works diligently on behalf of our veterans. We at wishU appreciate our veterans and want to do what we can to support them,” said Adam J. Stass, founder and managing partner of wishU.

About Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix)
Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix) is a national non-profit that supports the military community by providing free event tickets to currently serving military, veterans and family members of those killed in action, allowing them to attend sporting events, concerts, performing arts and family activities. Since 2008, Vet Tix has provided more than 2.8 million free event tickets to over 500,000 verified Vet Tixers, giving back to those who have given so much. Military and veterans experience many difficult transitions as they reintegrate into their families, communities, and eventually, into civilian life. Attending events improves morale, strengthens family bonds through shared interest and encourages service members to stay engaged with local communities and American life. Visit VetTix.org to learn more, and follow us on Twitter and Facebook.

After the entire family being cooped up in the house for a week with the inclement weather, this was just the outing we needed. Thank you Vet Tix and the Lone Star Brahmas for a wonderful night of hockey. The Brahmas didn't get the victory, but we had a wonderful time just the same.
