Help Vet Tix win $20,000 by donating to their CrowdRise campaign
Phoenix, AZ/26 May 2016 — Vet Tix has joined the Veterans Charity Challenge 4, a fundraising competition on CrowdRise, the largest crowdfunding platform for good. Organizations benefitting America’s heroes, such as veterans, military families, police, and firefighters will compete to raise the most money with the top teams winning grand prize cash donations Craig Newmark, founder of craigslist and craigconnects.org Vet Tix has joined the challenge on CrowdRise in hopes of raising money to support our Military Community and win the $20,000 grand prize.
Vet Tix’s Tickets for Troops Program is dedicated to giving back to the US military community. Our military shoulders unique burdens of stress, sacrifice and time away from family. The majority of our 19 million veterans have served during wartime! Wounds of war, both mental and physical, can stay with our veterans the rest of their lives.
Vet Tix provides event tickets to currently-serving Military, Veterans and their families, including immediate families of those Killed in Action to sporting events, concerts, performing arts and family activities. Attending events reduces stress, strengthens family bonds, builds positive memories and encourages service members to stay engaged with American life and local communities.
“Eight years ago, as I looked around the stadium at a football game, I saw a number of empty seats,” said CEO Michael Focareto. “I wondered at the time of how many veterans were missing out on that ‘All-American’ experience for which they sacrificed. Vet Tix was born that day.”
The Veterans Charity Challenge 4 launched on CrowdRise on May 25th at 12pm ET and runs through July 6th at 1:59:59pm ET. The team that raises the most during the Challenge wins $20,000 and 2nd-5th place prizes can win $1,000-$10,000. Weekly Bonus Challenges enable charities to win up to another $11,500.
CrowdRise Challenges are innovative fundraising competitions for charitable organizations designed to build capacity, create massive engagement and leverage, and use the power of the crowd to provide new meaningful funding streams for organizations in every sector.
