LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Athletics and Vet Tix have announced that the Beach will be partnering with the non-profit organization to provide free tickets to Military and Veterans of all branches, just in time for the Men’s Basketball home opener against Pacific on Veteran’s Day, November 11.
Long Beach State is proud to partner with Vet Tix, a nonprofit founded by veterans and dedicated to supporting those who serve. Through this collaboration, Beach Athletics is offering free tickets to select athletic events for active military, veterans, and their families.
The timing is perfect as Beach Men’s Basketball returns to the LBS Financial Credit Union on Veteran’s Day, and Long Beach State will honor a complimentary admission for all active military plus a guest with a valid ID on November 11.
“Our partnership with Vet Tix enables Long Beach State Athletics the opportunity to share our appreciation to veterans for their sacrifice and service,” said Executive Director of Athletics Bobby Smither. “Our hope is for veterans and their loved ones to have a great fan experience and to be a part of the greater Long Beach community in support of our student-athletes and coaches.”
“Vet Tix is grateful and honored to partner with Long Beach State Athletics to provide local veterans, service members and their families the opportunity to attend the excitement and suspense of Beach athletic events and create lifelong memories,” said Michael A. Focareto III, Vet Tix Founder, CEO, and U.S. Navy veteran.
Veteran Tickets Foundation teams up with major sports teams, leagues, promoters, organizations, venues and ticket holders to provide free tickets to the more than 21 million military and veterans. The program is currently serving military, honorably discharged veterans from all branches of service, and family of those Killed In Action are eligible. VetTixer’s accounts are active once service status is verified. Tickets are either distributed directly to military bases or claimed through the https://www.vettix.org website.
For fans, donating unused tickets is easy and impactful. Using the mobile ticket transfer feature, tickets can be sent via email to donate@vettix.org in what is a tax-deductible donation. For more information, call or text the Long Beach State Ticket Office at (562) 985-4949.
