The University of Cincinnati football team will celebrate Military Appreciation Day Saturday against BYU.
Numerous pregame activities are planned along with special in-game recognitions. The football team will wear cleats, gloves and a helmet stripe featuring the stars and stripes of the American flag. Coaches will wear camouflage Under Armour hats from the Lone Survivor Foundation, a cause supported by Head Coach Tommy Tuberville through a friendship with the foundation’s founder, Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell. The Lone Survivor Foundation restores, empowers, and renews hope for our wounded service members and their families through health, wellness, and therapeutic support. Wounded Warriors will be sitting in the Tubby’s Troops section of Nippert Stadium, where the Bearcats head coach purchased 150 season tickets in section 202 and the adjacent ADA seating below it for the 2016 season. The Armed Forces Tickets Association, Vet Tix and the Tommy Tuberville Foundation have handled distribution of the seats on a game-by-game basis.
