6 Stories of the Vet Tix Impact this Father’s Day

Blog

One of the main goals of Vet Tix is to bring families closer together and to support them through the stressors of military life. Whether PCSing to a new duty station, transitioning out of the service, or battling mental or physical injuries, military families are required to be resilient in the face of adversity. This Father’s Day, we’d like to recognize the VetTixer dads who anchor those families. Whether he has served in uniform, or serves through his support to his spouse, VetTixer dads make countless sacrifices worthy of being recognized. Today, we honor them and would like to say our own “thank you” for all that you do. Take a look at some of our favorite stories about Dad from 2018!

“This was an amazing experience to have sitting right behind the Yankees dugout and getting treated like royalty. This will be my last baseball season living next to New York before PCSing down south. I got to enjoy this last amazing experience up here with my father at the game. It was an excellent bonding experience and just overall a great time before my family packs up on to the next assignment. You are all truly amazing people to include Vet Tix. Please know that we are so very grateful for what you all do. Thank you so much!!”- Michael (U.S. Air Force currently serving)

“My girls and I had a great time connecting, singing and dancing at the Taylor Swift concert. This was long overdue. To see their faces light up and laugh made me proud to be a father. I might not be able to provide them all that they want, but at least this one time they were able to enjoy themselves. It will be a memory we will never forget and will forever be grateful for your generosity.”- Pativeth (U.S. Air Force veteran)

“I grew up a Chicago Cubs fan and can remember my very first time going to Wrigley Field… Thanks to you all I was able to recreate this experience with my son Jayden. It was his first time at Wrigley Field and his first MLB game ever! I love everything this organization stands for and am proud to have served my country! Thank you so very much once again, as you helped create an unforgettable experience for a father and son!” – Hector (U.S. Marine Corps veteran)

“I cannot tell you how much this concert meant to me. The Eagles have been number one on my bucket list forever and to top it off they were my father’s absolute favorite band. He is no longer with me, so this was something I will remember always. Thank you, Vet Tix and Live Nation for continually making dreams come true and giving us the opportunity to experience moments like this.”-Jason (U.S. Army veteran)

“Taking in a ball game with my daughters just adds to another priceless moment I get with them. They enjoy when they get an opportunity to hang with Dad and you guys made it all possible. My daughter plays softball and was finally able to see a MLB game and was just in awe. This was something I was grateful to be able to share with her. Thank you again and everything you do for veterans and their families.”- Corey (U.S. Navy veteran)

“Having just retired from the US Army after 30 years and being deployed for the last 15 years, I have missed many opportunities to do things with my son. Your donation allowed us to bond. He was apprehensive at first but by the end of the awesome performance [Off-Broadway play – “Drop Dead!”] we both laughed and talked about how great the acting was and how great the play was written. Our donation allowed us to make a memory that both he and I will relive over the many years to come. Thank you again for your support to Vet Tix!”-Keith (U.S. Army veteran)

This is the second game I was able to take my kids to thanks to Lone Star Brahmas - (NAHL)! They are having a blast cheering the Brahmas on and learning all the rules of hockey. Skates are now on their Christmas wishlist! Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to share this with my family.
